Caldmore provides affordable homes in the Walsall area. As a housing association, our key activities include letting and managing affordable homes and working with local partners to develop new or improved homes for people in housing need. We currently manage over 1,600 homes and plan to develop more each year.

Services are mostly managed by our Housing Services team, which is made up of three main sections: Customer Services, Estate Services and Housing Management.

We have a wide range of properties available for rent, including:

• Two, three, four and five-bedroom family houses
• One and two-bedroom apartments for adults without dependent children
• One and two-bedroom apartments and bungalows for older people as well as sheltered housing for those who require additional support
• Sheltered housing for older people
• Sheltered housing with extra care for Asian elders.

The amount of rent you pay will depend on the size and type of the property and any additional services which may be provided.
Our average rents (including service charges) are as follows:

• 1 bedroom apartment: £60 - £67 per week
• 2 bedroom apartment: £71 - £76 per week
• 2 bedroom house: £73 - £81 per week
• 3 bedroom house: £82 - £86 per week
• 4 bedroom house: £92 per week.

All applications are scored according to the applicants personal needs. This helps us to offer properties to those in urgent need of housing first.  It usually takes around two weeks to process applications, after which applicants are interviewed. We will also need to contact your previous landlord(s) for a reference.  We have a high demand of applicants and there may be a waiting list for the property you need. If this happens, our customer service advisors will be able to advise you on how long you may have to wait.
